Hey-Traders Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 22, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Hey-Traders collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use our alpha-stage trading research, backtesting, signal, API, and automation software (the "Service").

For the alpha period, "Hey-Traders," "we," "us," or "our" refers to the Hey-Traders development team and any successor operating entity that may later assume the Service.

The Service is not directed to persons located in or ordinarily resident in the Republic of Korea. If you are located in or ordinarily resident in the Republic of Korea, do not use the Service unless and until a compliant local offering is expressly made available.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account and Authentication Data

2.2 Service and Trading-Feature Data

2.3 Automatically Collected Data

3. Alpha Data Handling

  1. During alpha testing, we prioritize collecting the minimum data reasonably necessary to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
  2. Debug logs, system logs, error traces, API connection status, execution telemetry, and support records may be reviewed to diagnose defects, failed execution, latency, security issues, or integration problems.
  3. We do not sell your trading history, strategy content, exchange credentials, wallet data, or personal information.
  4. When the alpha period ends, we intend to delete or anonymize alpha-only diagnostic data that is no longer needed, subject to security, abuse-prevention, backup, dispute, accounting, and legal retention requirements.

4. How We Use Information

  1. To provide, secure, maintain, debug, and improve the Service.
  2. To authenticate users, manage accounts, enforce access controls, and prevent abuse.
  3. To process user-requested backtests, signals, scripts, market-data views, connected-account actions, and order or execution workflows.
  4. To send transactional notices, support responses, security alerts, and service updates.
  5. To analyze aggregated or de-identified usage trends and product reliability.
  6. To comply with applicable legal, tax, security, sanctions, and regulatory obligations.

5. API Keys, Wallets, and Exchange Data

  1. Hey-Traders is designed as a non-custodial software interface. We do not custody user assets, private keys, seed phrases, or fiat funds.
  2. Where you connect exchange APIs or wallets, the Service may process encrypted exchange secrets, wallet signatures, and connected-account metadata solely to provide the features you request.
  3. For trading execution and account features, the Service may transmit user-authorized API requests, order instructions, wallet signatures, and related metadata to exchange, wallet, blockchain, RPC, market-data, or infrastructure endpoints over encrypted or otherwise secured channels.
  4. We are not responsible for data handling, security incidents, outages, or losses occurring within third-party exchanges, wallets, blockchains, protocols, RPC providers, or other third-party services.

8. Security

  1. We use technical and administrative safeguards such as encryption where applicable, access controls, credential handling controls, monitoring, and logging.
  2. No internet-connected system is perfectly secure. Alpha software may contain vulnerabilities, and you should use isolated wallets, restricted API keys, conservative permissions, and conservative position sizing.
  3. You are responsible for securing your devices, browser sessions, wallets, exchange accounts, API keys, and other credentials.

9. Retention and Deletion

  1. We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, or support legitimate operational needs.
  2. Account data is generally retained until account deletion or until it is no longer needed, subject to security, dispute, backup, accounting, and legal retention requirements.
  3. Alpha-only diagnostic data that is no longer needed will be deleted or anonymized after the alpha period where reasonably practicable.
  4. Backups and logs may persist for a limited period before secure deletion according to operational retention schedules.

10. Cookies and Analytics

  1. We use essential cookies or similar technologies for authentication, security, session management, and service operation.
  2. We may use analytics cookies or privacy-focused analytics tools to understand usage and improve reliability. You may control cookies through browser settings, though some features may not work without essential cookies.
