Fundamentals API
Fundamentals operations expose US SEC EDGAR research: normalized financial
statements, the filing list, and filing documents. Every operation requires
research and completes synchronously.
Operations
| Method | Path | Required scope | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
GET | /v1/fundamentals/edgar/{ticker_or_cik}/financials | research | Read normalized SEC company facts |
GET | /v1/fundamentals/edgar/{ticker_or_cik}/filings | research | List SEC filings for a US company |
GET | /v1/fundamentals/edgar/{ticker_or_cik}/filings/{accession_no} | research | Read one SEC filing document |
Identifier and source rules
Every route accepts a US ticker or SEC CIK. accession_no must come from the
filing list. Statement, frequency, form, date, and pagination constraints are
enumerated in OpenAPI; do not merge provider rows by display name.
Row resources can expose a provider-derived schema field alongside flexible
records. Consume fields reported for that response and preserve missing values
as unknown. count, when present, describes the returned resource rather than
a separate success envelope.
Failures
These routes synchronously call the research infrastructure. A timeout returns
504 UPSTREAM_TIMEOUT, unavailable transport returns
503 UPSTREAM_UNAVAILABLE, and an upstream or malformed result returns a 502
error. An empty successful rows list is valid only when the upstream request
itself succeeded.
