HeyTraders Documentation

Google / Email

Use this guide when you sign in to Polymarket with Google or email and select Google / Email in HeyTraders. You will need the account wallet address and its owner private key. A browser-wallet extension is not required for this method.

Before You Connect

Create and fund your account through Polymarket's official flow, and complete any trading approvals there first. Use the owner key of the same account you want to connect, not a newly created, unrelated wallet.

An exported owner key can control the associated account. Keep it private and enter it only in the connection form when you intend to grant that access. Do not enter a Google password, CLOB API secret or session key.

Export Your Owner Key

  1. Sign in to the Polymarket account you want to connect.
  2. Follow Polymarket's official key export instructions. For email / Magic.Link accounts, the official export page is reveal.magic.link/polymarket.
  3. Authenticate with the same account, export the private key and keep it secure. Log out of the export page when finished.
  4. Copy the account wallet address from your Polymarket profile. This is the account holding your positions, not a bridge deposit address on another network.

Connect In HeyTraders

  1. Open Settings → Exchanges → Add Exchange.
  2. Choose Polymarket, then Google / Email.
  3. Enter your account wallet address and owner private key, then click Connect Exchange.
  4. HeyTraders verifies that the owner key belongs to the supplied wallet, detects Deposit, Safe or Proxy routing, and prepares trading API credentials.
  5. Confirm the connected account and available balance before starting automation.

There is no signature-type selector. This form supports Deposit, Safe and Proxy wallets when the key owns the supplied wallet; it does not accept an EOA as the Polymarket prediction-market account wallet. No session-key approval is required.

Storage And Expiry

For Polymarket, HeyTraders stores the owner key encrypted and uses it directly to sign orders. This method has no fixed expiry set by HeyTraders and does not need renewal every six months. The key and trading API credentials must remain valid; reconnect if they change, are revoked, or Polymarket invalidates access. A Google browser login's expiry is separate from this connection.

Polymarket Perps

Choose Polymarket Perps → Google / Email, enter Polymarket Wallet Address and Private Key, and click Connect Exchange.

For Perps, the owner key is used once to authorize a delegated trading key and is not stored. HeyTraders stores the delegated credentials and their expiry. Reconnect when that delegated authorization expires. The no-fixed-expiry behavior of the direct Polymarket owner-key connection does not apply to Perps.

Replace Or Remove A Connection

Disconnect the existing connection before changing between Wallet and Google / Email or replacing its key. Disconnecting stops linked strategies, attempts to cancel HeyTraders-managed open orders and removes the stored credentials. If cancellation fails, HeyTraders asks whether to disconnect with those orders still open. Deleting HeyTraders' stored copy does not invalidate the original owner key.

For prediction-market fees, order behavior and settlement, see the Polymarket trading notes.
