Web3 Wallet
Use this guide for Polymarket → Wallet in HeyTraders. For key entry, use the Google / Email guide.
Supported Account Wallets
The Polymarket Wallet method supports Deposit Wallets only. Check whether your account was created on or after May 4, 2026. HeyTraders verifies the actual account wallet type. MetaMask and Rabby are signing apps; an older account accessed through one of these apps may still use a Safe Wallet.
Safe, Proxy and EOA accounts are not supported by this session-key flow. The Google / Email guide explains the separate owner-key connection method.
Before You Connect
Create and fund your Polymarket account through Polymarket's official flow. Complete any trading approval prompts on Polymarket first.
The Wallet method does not ask for your owner private key. You sign an approval for a separate, CLOB-only session key, which cannot withdraw funds. New session keys use the official SDK's 4,315-hour lifetime (approximately 180 days). Their approved expiry is stored with the connection; further trading after expiry requires a new owner authorization.
Connect With A Wallet
- Choose Wallet, select your browser wallet, and click Connect Wallet.
- Select the owner account you use with Polymarket and approve access.
- HeyTraders checks that the account has a supported Deposit Wallet.
- Sign the ownership message and the session-key authorization.
- Wait for connection confirmation. HeyTraders can then sign orders with the session key, including while your browser is closed.
If a Safe, Proxy, or unrecognized wallet is reported, confirm that the selected owner belongs to the Polymarket account you intended to connect. The Wallet method does not convert an older account to a Deposit Wallet.
Connection Expiry
The Polymarket trading session lasts 4,315 hours (approximately 180 days). The exact approved expiry is stored with the connection. After expiry, reconnect and authorize a new session before continuing automated trading.
Polymarket Perps
For perpetuals, choose Polymarket Perps → Wallet, select your browser wallet and click Connect Wallet. Approve the owner signatures requested to authorize a delegated Perps trading key. You do not enter an owner private key. The connection records the delegated key's expiry; reconnect when it expires.
The Deposit Wallet restriction and 4,315-hour session above describe the Polymarket prediction-market connection, not the separate Perps authorization. The fees, order behavior and settlement notes below also describe prediction markets.
Verify Before Automation
Before enabling automation, confirm the connected Polymarket account and available balance, then place a small test order that meets the market's minimum size and check that it is accepted.
Fees
- HeyTraders applies a 50 basis point (0.50%) builder fee to Polymarket trading routed through a connected HeyTraders account.
- Polymarket controls this rate through the HeyTraders builder profile. The broker associates eligible orders with that profile using its builder code.
- This builder fee is separate from any fees charged directly by Polymarket.
Remove Or Revoke Access
Disconnecting an account in HeyTraders stops linked strategies, attempts to cancel HeyTraders-managed open orders, and removes the stored credentials and connection. Disconnect does not require a wallet signature. If orders cannot be canceled, you will be asked to confirm whether to disconnect with those orders still open.
Removing the HeyTraders connection does not revoke the session key's permission at Polymarket. To invalidate that permission as well, use Polymarket's session-key revocation flow, which requires authorization from the Deposit Wallet owner.
Trading Notes
- Use
polymarketas the exchange id in API requests. - Polymarket symbols are token IDs, not market slugs or Polymarket URLs. Fetch
supported symbols from
GET /v1/exchanges/polymarket/tickers. - Polymarket prices represent probability and usually range from
0.0to1.0. - Market BUY orders are quote/USDC-denominated and require
quote_amount. Market SELL orders are share-denominated and useorder.qty. - Market orders support
IOCorFOKwhen the capability response reports them. - Plain Limit orders support
GTC,GTT, orIOCwhen the capability response reports them; LimitFOKis rejected. Stop-loss-limit and take-profit-limit orders supportGTCorGTT.GTTrequires a timezone-qualifiedexecution.expires_at; no expiry is added automatically. - Use
GET /v1/order-capabilities?account_id=...&exchange=polymarket&symbol=...before submitting an order. It reports availability, routing, time-in-force, and precision for the connected account and token; it does not define the request payload schema. - Polymarket does not hold HeyTraders Stop, Take Profit, OCO trigger legs, or Trailing Stop instructions natively. HeyTraders monitors the last traded outcome-token price and submits the configured Polymarket action after a managed trigger fires. See How Managed Triggers Work for trigger sources, service dependencies, and fill risks.
Fill And Settlement Status
A Polymarket trade can progress through MATCHED, MINED, and CONFIRMED, or
end as FAILED. MATCHED is a provisional fill projection; bought outcome
tokens are credited only at CONFIRMED. Do not treat MATCHED as final,
settled, or wallet-available.
For a matched close awaiting confirmation, HeyTraders can display a
pending_settlement position and removes that projection after CONFIRMED.
Market resolution can update local PnL and position displays, but HeyTraders
does not provide proof of token redemption, venue payout, or withdrawal.
